Chelsea target Kai Havertz is reportedly open to delaying his Bayer Leverkusen exit by a year – but wants his future to be resolve by the end of the summer transfer.

The Bundesliga club appear to accept they will lose the wonderkid, 21, who has had an excellent season.

   A number of top European side are interested in Havertz but Chelsea, who have already wrapped up deals to sign Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, have recently emerged as frontrunners to sign the midfielder.

  Leverkusen are understood to value the Germany international at Euros 70M but Bild journalist Christian Flak claims Havertz is happy to stay another 12 months.

  However, Havertz wants the issue to be sorted for 2021 so he doesn’t speculation to deal with.
